‘SING’ (PG)

Time and date: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16

Location: Southwest Branch, 2039 W. 4000 South, Roy

Description: “Due to financial trouble, Buster, the owner of a musical theater, hosts a singing contest with a grand prize of $1,000. But the flyer goes out with a typo of $100,000 and that is only the first disaster to strike; soon rehearsals end in chaos, one of the contestants owes money to the mob, and then the theater is flooded! Now that Buster has hit rock bottom, there’s nowhere else to go but up, right?” the library’s website says.

‘101 DALMATIONS’ (G)

Time and date: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16

Location: Ogden Valley Branch, 131 S. 7400 East, Huntsville

Description: “When their litter of Dalmatian puppies is dognapped by the sinister Cruella De Vil, parents Pongo and Perdita race to rescue them before they become victims of Cruella’s diabolical fashion sense. When they realize there are 99 puppies in total, they decide to adopt every last one!” the library’s website says.

‘FREAKY FRIDAY’ (PG)

Location: Pleasant Valley Branch, 5568 Adams Avenue Parkway, Ogden

Description: “Fifteen year old Anna wants nothing more than to go to an important audition with her band but her mother Tess won’t allow it because it falls on the same day as her wedding rehearsal dinner. When they argue over dinner at a Chinese restaurant, their fortune cookie comes with a spell that forces them to switch bodies. Unfortunately, the spell won’t break until they learn to love with selflessness towards each other,” the library’s website says.

‘A MAN CALLED OVE’ (PG-13)

Description: “Widower Ove struggles with depression after the death of his wife. He makes several attempts to end his life, all of which are interrupted by various neighbors and circumstances. With each attempt, he recalls distinct memories, and upon waking finds someone or something new in his life to live for,” the library’s website says.

‘LINCOLN’ (PG-13)

Time and date: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20

Location: Pleasant Valley Branch, 5568 Adams Avenue Parkway, Ogden

Description: “President Abraham Lincoln worries that as the Civil War comes to an end, his 1863 Emancipation Proclamation may be discarded by the courts as both Democrat and Republican representatives work to settle the issue and restore the Confederate states to the Union,” the library’s website says.
